Program Overview
- The Agápe Project is offering an interfaith summer program for high school students interested in developing core leadership skills in dialogue, disagreement, and conflict navigation.
- The five-day residential program will be hosted by Rose Castle Foundation, an internationally renowned organization that works with universities, faith leaders, and civic institutions on reconciliation and leadership formation.
Supervision and Safety
Students are accompanied by adult chaperones, and Rose Castle has established safeguarding protocols. Housing, meals, activities, and local transportation during the program are fully supervised.
Why Agápe at Rose Castle?
Today’s teens will need to engage with complex and contested issues in academic, civic, and professional settings—often without formal preparation. News headlines frequently reflect the negative outcomes that arise when groups with different ideologies, religious backgrounds or belief-systems fail to constructively engage in dialogue about charged topics. At Rose Castle, the Agápe Project looks to provide a guided, disciplined training in speaking clearly from conviction, listening carefully to opposing viewpoints, and engaging in respectful dialogue - even around points of disagreement. The focus is on skills, not persuasion or ideology. Mastering these skills will allow participants to grow as reconcilers and to engage more productively in civic discourse - both on campuses and in the broader world.
